Josef Florian Krichbaum

bio22.jpg

Josef was selected by the Nordic Art Agency for the sheer joy and precious nature of his work.  He is a rare contemporary artist who revives the technical elements of old masters painting & orientates them in his own poetic world of tempting images & emotive peacefulness.

Geometry & subtle detailed perfections allow his work to feel restful yet evocative.  His series entitled The Guards are the most iconic & beautifully arresting collection of solitary figures, blinded by their helmets yet somehow enlightened. His elegant larger works of charcoal on canvas are also featured in our collection.  The softly spoken lines and shadowy draftsman-ship of these whimsical otherworldly compositions are utterly delightful & elegantly crafted.

Josef's extensive body of unique & quirky work has been featured in countless solo shows & is present in many private collections.
