Danish abstract artist Daphne Golman has been developing her rich style and decorative technique over the past few years to create a beautiful body of uplifting painting.
Inspired by botanical elements, nature and mountain scapes there is a strong underlying sense in her painting of the Japanese Yugen,
“A profound and mysterious sense of the beauty of the Universe, and the sad beauty of human suffering.” This is the feeling that we get when immersed in a forest or when climbing a mountain range. The feeling that you are so small and the Universe is so very large. The deep, emotional and yet often indescribable sense of connection with the Earth.”
Daphne works in a variety of mixed media, effortlessly layering and building up textures and lines to create harmony, balance (and a little drama) in her compositions.
